We
are Cris and Phyllis Alexander, a couple of "Colorado Improved Texans"
who love the Lord and strive to serve Him in every facet of our lives. We
are blessed to live in beautiful Colorado, where we see God in His
incredible creation everywhere we look. It is our hope that you will
enjoy our site and that it will whet your appetite for the Creator as
you appreciate His creation.
Here's a little bit about us...
Phyllis is a very crafty person who makes cards, jewelry
and does all sorts of other crafts. She enjoys reading, working jigsaw
puzzles and keeping tropical fish. She is an organizational wizard who
can bring order out of any kind of chaos! Perhaps it is this talent that
stimulated her interest in genealogy. Phyllis has researched our
ancestry back to Noah (well... maybe not quite that far...) and enjoys
following branches in both her and Cris's family trees to see how far
they will go. She is the delight of Cris's life.
Cris is an engineer who always wants to know how things
work. He loves to fly airplanes, fly fish, ski, snowmobile, ATV and
operate his amateur radio stations. His "man cave" in
the basement of our Aurora home contains his wood shop, fly-tying bench and
model railroad.
We both love the outdoors and escape to the mountains
every chance we get, spending our weekends at our cabin
in Grand County, Colorado. We vacation every summer at Lake City,
Colorado in the most beautiful country on the face of the planet. On our
"bucket list" are visits to Yellowstone and Alaska, and we hope to see
both of those places someday.
We have two adult children, Gary and Amanda. Gary lives
with his family in Ft. Worth, Texas. Amanda and her husband Jordon live in Colorado, just
a few miles from Mom and Dad. Amanda is also an engineer.
We also have three grandkids, Sean and Sara, who live in
the Dallas area, and Kayden, who lives with Gary in Ft. Worth. And we
have one great-granddaughter, Persephone, who lives with her mom Sara in
Arkansas.
And finally we have a one-eyed kitty, "Spice,"
who keeps us entertained, and a whole bunch of tropical fish in two
large tanks, and they keep Spice entertained!
We are privileged to serve and worship God at New Life
Community Church in Aurora.
